Idris Adeniyi
Idris is a seasoned investment banker and consultant with extensive experience in Nigeria’s capital market and commercial banking sectors. A recognized thought leader, he has been at the forefront of discussions on key investment, accounting, and tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions and capital raising in the Nigerian capital market. His expertise spans global and local macroeconomic analysis, asset and liability management, debt securities analysis, investment strategies, and fixed-income securities trading.
With 19 years of experience across audit, commercial, and investment banking—covering treasury, corporate finance, and portfolio management—Idris has built a distinguished career. He began his banking journey at Polaris Bank before moving to Access Bank Plc, where he rose to the position of Branch Manager. He later served as Deputy Head of Investment at Trustfund Pensions Limited before joining ABMC Management Consultants Limited as Team Lead, Asset Management. Subsequently, he was appointed Head of Investment at Radix Pension Managers Limited and later held the same role at the Nigerian University Pension Management Company Limited (NUPEMCO).
Idris holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos, a Master’s in Financial Economics from the University of Abuja, and a Master of Philosophy in Management from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA). He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI, UK), and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS). He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (ICEN).
